Ok people, let's set the record straight. For all of you out there that have never stayed at a hostel and have some warped view of what they are like, probably due to the horror movie... you are sorely mistaken and frankly missing out on a great way to travel. Of course you have the dirty, gross hostels out there... you definitely have to do your research, BUT there are some pretty fantastic hostels out there where people don't kidnap and torture you... there aren't bug infested beds... you won't be sleeping with creepers.... they are just cheap and FUN places to crash for a couple nights where you can meet other backpackers from all around the world and no Mere... they aren't people that eat people. Many hostels have fun bars to hang out at, pools to lay by, restaurants to eat at, private rooms and bathrooms... in my opinion they are much better then hotels for solo travelers. When you stay at a hostel you are never really alone. If you don't believe my words, here are some pics of the hostels I have stayed at and pictures don't lie.
