Semana Santa... or Holy week... was spent in La Fortuna, Cahuita and Puerto Viejo. I did a jungle hike, saw active volcanoe, sunset over a lake, hot springs and a rope swing in La Fortuna. If you want to see the jungle side of Costa Rica, La Fortuna is the perfect place. So many adventures you can take including river rafting, canyoning, volcanoes, horse back riding, etc. And the hot springs are absolutely amazing. Best way to end the night after hiking.
Then I went to the carribean coast and met up with my friend Ashleigh and her friends. Went snorkling in Cahuita and took a nice walk through the national park there. Saw my first sloth in Costa Rica along with some monkeys and a snake! Spent significant time at the beautiful beaches in Cahuita and Puerto Viejo and just relaxed. It was an amazing week!
